Writing & publication of fact-checks

The writing and publication of factchecks (fact-checking articles) adhere to methodological criteria and requirements related to our correction policy.

On one hand, the methodology used by Centrafrique Check relies on the following mechanisms: First, the monitoring phase, which involves identifying false information and rumors; then the collection of dubious information and unverified claims; finally, the analysis of the risk probability and relevance of the information, considering two aspects: public interest and the impact or vitality of the information.

Each piece of information proposed during the editorial meeting is approved by the editor-in-chief.

The writing and publication phase of the factcheck is subject to a correction policy.

The Centrafrique Check editorial team is composed of 10 Fact-Checkers who are the main content creators. Each article drafted undergoes a simultaneous, meticulous review by the entire editorial team before the final approval by the Editor-in-Chief for publication.

Moreover, Centrafrique Check also allows its readership to make objections or critiques in the event of an error in a published article, enabling counter-corrections while strictly adhering to the profession’s standards, respecting its readers or listeners, and its correction policy.

Centrafrique Check publishes verified information on its website, on its social media channels, and also through community radios.

Centrafrique Check publishes regularly or periodically depending on the information it verifies.
