Julien Musseau, communications officer at the French Embassy in Bangui, dismissed this information: “It’s absolutely false; France has not suspended Air France flights to Bangui.”

At the Air France office in Bangui, several people encountered referred to the rumors as baseless.

The Désinfox Afrique-RCA team also spoke with a traveler on May 10, 2022, who refuted the claim: “I am scheduled to take an Air France flight on May 11, 2022, to Paris, but there has been no alert about any suspension. I just checked in.” Remy Djamouss reported.
